The CLA Rural Diversification Stand
The face of agriculture and land management is changing. Challenges from climate change, the need to secure income from woodland and forestry, and the growing competition for land use have made new ideas for the use of rural land and buildings a vital priority for the countryside.
In its capacity as The National Countryside Event and leader on rural issues, this important area features the leading organisations and firms who can provide advice and ideas to farmers and landowners on the many opportunities for diversifying and introducing new activities.
The Country Land and Business Association’s CLA Rural Diversification stand lies at the centre of a range of exhibitors who bring ideas and offer services and products to land managers and the public. The CLA’s Chief Surveyor and Forestry and Woodlands Adviser will be on hand to offer advice and information on all forms of diversification. The key exhibit this year is the new CLA Forestry policy, which all those with an interest in the future of our woodlands will want to see. Sharing the stand are advisers from Farming Futures, a joint collaboration project which offers advice on climate change and farming.
If you are interested in renewable energy – from solar panels to woodfuel boilers, from wind turbines to anaerobic digestion, or simply in energy saving and efficiency and are looking for impartial advice on the grants, the policy and the regulations this is the stand to visit.
Come and find ideas, advice and information on what is possible, and what is available by way of diversification!
