During the three days of The Game Fair a team of experts will be on hand to discuss a wide range of subjects.
At the CLA Advisory Services marquee, located just inside the CLA Member's Enclosure, members can discuss a wide range of issues with CLA professional advisers.
CLA advisers will also be available at CLA stands located at the centre of the site (between Gunmaker's Row and the Fishing Village) Here you can find out more about our work in areas such as renewable energy, planning, diversification, woodland and forestry. There will also be cookery demonstrations using local food, wine tastings and workshops on how food producers are getting the most out of their business.
All are welcome to attend and visitors will be able to learn more about the benefits of CLA membership.
CALM Launch will take place in the CLA Village Stand no H500 on Friday at 11.00
The CLA's Carbon Accounting for Land Managers (CALM) web based calculator has been extended thanks to support from Natural England to include the impact of joining environmental stewardship schemes on a farm's Green House Gas (GHG) balance. The revised and improved calculator will be launched on Friday at The CLA Game Fair by Richard Benyon MP Defra Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Natural Environment.
The calculator which can be accessed on the CLA web site is free and available to everyone with users guaranteed total confidentiality. The project team of Savills and the CLA have received feed back from farmers who have used the calculator to secure super market contracts, to achieve grain quality assurance and to calculate the way forward to create a 'carbon neutral' farm.
