Help for Heroes

Help for Heroes is one of the charities that will benefit from fund raising at this years CLA Game Fair.

The chosen charity to benefit from the Celebrity Charity Shoots and some of the activities in the Active Countryside for All feature for 2009 is Help for Heroes.

Help for Heroes is extremely grateful for any support and is delighted to have been selected as the nominated charity at this year's CLA Game Fair.
Former Royal Green Jacket turned countryside cartoonist Bryn Parry was so moved by a visit to Selly Oak hospital to visit wounded soldiers in 2007 that he and his wife Emma formed a charity, Help for Heroes. They just wanted 'to do something' and were initially focused on raising funds for the Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court, a project that is now being built with the first £8m raised.
The charity has inspired hundreds of thousands of people, from all walks of life, 'to do something for the blokes; to do their bit' as Bryn puts it. All across the countryside people are taking part in events that raise money to provide practical, direct support for the wounded. Help for Heroes has raised over £1m a month since it was launched and it is spending the money nearly as fast as it comes in. There is a real need and the money is making a real difference to the lives of some extraordinary young people.

Help for Heroes wish to thank everyone for their support.
