The Clay Line - SPONSORED BY LAND ROVER UK - run by John Bidwell, the Clay Line was completely redesigned last year with new major events so that it appealed even more to newcomers, experienced and occasional shots of all shooting disciplines. Gun Storage - It should be noted that those bringing guns can make use of the gun storage facility located on the Clay Line. Those bringing guns and intending to buy cartridges to shoot on the Clay Line must carry their shotgun licence.
Visitors should also note that it is fibre wad cartridges only (28 gram)
Newcomers and beginners - Tuition is available on the clay line from BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation), CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) and Countryside Alliance.
BASC - Improving your shooting with the Marksman ST – 2 Shooting Simulator. The Marksman ST-2 Shooting Simulator is the most advanced coaching aid and is considered by many to be the Rolls Royce of Shooting Simulators. The simulator allows you to use your own shotgun, analyse in detail each shot with the support of detailed ballistics information. After a shot is taken, you can replay it in slow motion with a host of diagnostic and statistical features to show you shot. These unique features are extremely valuable for l shotgun coaches to improve the shooting ability of their clients.
If you need to improve or hone your shooting ability, whether a beginner or a seasoned veteran, then ensure you visit the BASC stand (stand number H587) and book a clinic session with one of our professional shotgun coaches. Our shotgun coaches will check gun fit, eye dominance, stance and analyse your shooting style using the simulator.
Each clinic session lasts approximately 10 minutes and costs £5.00
The coaching lines will be manned by fully qualified coaches, who will be providing the highest quality guidance and tuition for all ages and abilities, from those taking their first shots, through to experienced guns wishing to improve their technique. The team will be committed to making the introduction to shotgun shooting a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience.
